Major Contemporary Art Gallery, located in the heart of Chelsea, seeks highly motivated gallery interns available immediately.
Applicants should be responsible and detail-oriented individuals with good writing ability, computer skills (Mac) with an interest in contemporary art. Knowledge of Photoshop and Illustrator is a plus. Position includes front desk duties, such as answering the phones and greeting visitors; assisting with installation of exhibitions; putting together artists’ packages; email correspondence; scanning and retouching images; as well as updating and maintaining databases.
This is an unpaid position, minimum two days per week, plus additional hours as needed.
